Nymeria is our latest addition to the family. Her breeder Irina Matveeva of Somalissa Cattery in St Petersburg, sold her to me in early 2018, after I saw her photo on Facebook.
She is a stunning blue girl, with an excellent oatmeal base colour. The plan is that we will breed her to Ron in the future, however his father managed to get in on the act first and the two of them have produced the most exciting litter of kittens.
Nymeria achieved Grand Champion status and was one certificate away from achieving Supreme Champion status. However, her real achievements were with her offspring. In her first litter she produced Sp Ch Valinor Earwen, who was 5th Best Kitten in South Africa in 2019. In 2022, she achieved brood-queen of the year.
When we relocated to The Netherlands, like Hamilton, we loaned Nymeria to Dreamgiver, to ensure that they could retain some of the genes that we imported into South Africa. Nymeria did produce one litter before she was retired and rehomed to a loving pet home.
