Having had to sterilise Abymoon Tache’s Jade Princess too early, due to her preference of producing single kittens by caesarian section, we retained her second kitten Valinor Night Vision. Night Vision duly produced her first litter (although it was an unplanned pregnancy). This litter contained only 2 kittens, Valinor Melkor and Valinor Lorien. At the time we were in contact with Terumi Suzuki of Bluedrops in Japan. She was looking for a stud and a queen. To be honest, we were definitely not looking to send either boy into a breeding program, due to their pedigree. However, Terumi fell in love with Melkor and, in time, he went to Bluedrops along with 2 sister of Varda.
We decided to implant a supralorin chip into Night Vision, that would give us time to find a new stud to mate with her. However, the supralorin chip had a negative reaction on her and she ended up have a severe case of Pyometria. This resulted in us having to sterilise her and we lost the whole line of Jade. The only fertile offspring being Melkor. We, therefore, asked Terumi for a daughter of Melkor to replace Night Vision and Tifa is the result.
In June of 2025 I travelled to Japan to collect her. She was the perfect little lady the whole way and handled the entire ordeal like a pro. Her only need was to cuddle.
She is completely her father and grandmother’s daughter, to the point that we often mistake her for her grandmother. She is expected to visit Hamilton this year, as was her grandmother’s plan originally. Thereafter, we will see…
