Ivy was one of the cutest cats that I have ever bred. She had the most fabulous, naughty personalities (hence the name “Ivy the Terrible”). She was the last offspring from Benjamin (Gr Ch Dushara Breidablik of Valinor) and was the result of Crystal managing to sneak one in on us.
She managed to become a Grand Champion, however her coat wasn’t as thick as some judges prefer so she wasn’t been able to improve on that. However, from a type (except her ears) and colour clarity point of view she was fantastic!
She was extremely affectionate. On the day that I brought my daughter, Stephanie, home from the hospital she decided that she was her human and was always playing with her. She was the first to come when called, but we never expected to have her on our lap or in our arms, she had way too many things to do to sit around with you. However, she would never think of leaving you alone in a room or a toy un-played with.
All in all, the best oops ever!!!
I gave her to a new breeder in the Eastern Cape to begin her breeding program and, unfortunately, she died there in 2012. She will always be remembered and our time with her treasured.
