In exchange for Valinor Luthien’s Shade, Janet (of Abymoon), sent me Abymoon Tache’s Jade Princess. She is the most affectionate cat ever, never leaving me alone for a minute and an “under-blanket-cat”. Her mother is the great Abymoon Syntache, mother of Bukhara and grand mother of Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger and Severus Snape. However, unlike Bukhara she is a most beautiful Black SIlver.
Oddly enough, she has a patch of tarnish in the middle of her chest and that patchy type of tarnishing has been transferred to her descendants. However, as they get older they get clearer.
Unfortunately, as beautiful as she is, she didn’t turn into the best mother. In the space of a year she produced 3 kittens. 1 per litter, all by caesarian section. Needless to say, of the 3rd such delivery, we decided to keep one of her kittens and neuter her.
Unfortunately, we haven’t heard much from the owners of her first kitten, who went to a lovely family in PE. However, her second kitten is Ch. Valinor Night Vision and her third kitten is Valinor Belladonna Took (better know as Phoebe), who became a bit of a sensation on Instagram thanks to her fantastic Mom (human).
Jade crossed the rainbow bridge, suddenly, in November of 2022. We will miss her always, but she will always remain an influence for Valinor through her daughter (Valinor Night Vision) and granddaughter (BlueDrops Tifa).
